Hi Alison and Gary!
I haven’t listened to this one yet (honestly I for me the awesome Thursday shows have claimed top priority on my podcast queue), but I wanted to say something. Recently on Adam’s show, he reached a new level of douchiness when he chastised Gary ON AIR for an honest mistake that we all make; on the job, with our spouses, etc. I’m certain Adam on more than one occasion had been SO SURE he was right about something and turned out to be wrong. It seriously happens to EVERYONE and having him pretend that he’s never been guilty of that WHILE repetitively berating Gary on his damn show was rude, unprofessional and not at all entertaining. I have been a long-time listener, and I hate that this is the nature of my first comment. The truth is, your show has resulted in me truly feeling that you (and now Gary) are friends of mine. When Adam started acting so dickish to him, I was surprised at how hurt I was, as if he was berating a close friend of mine. I guess that’s a great testament to your show’s quality, as I don’t think I’ve ever felt like I known two strangers as well as you guys. I know Gary isn’t going to want to relive that bullshit, so I don’t expect you to discuss this. However I wanted you both to know that this show is fantastic. I know you’re sacrificing a lot to put yourselves out there like this; Alison, I’m sorry you have to wade through idiotic and hateful comments and I’m sure Gary was a bit apprehensive about taking on a more on-air role…but hearing your fairly common day to day details explained and broken down by such a talent is an incredible experience. You have amazing ability to put your thoughts into words, and It’s refreshing and entertaining. I’m going to be listening for a long time – don’t change a thing!

I’ve had to invent a new word for the enjoyment I get from your podcast. “Unsicherheitsfreude” is the pleasure derived from the insecurity of someone who is more successful than you are. You seem to have so much going for you (attractive, smart, funny) that it is somehow reassuring that you are still beset with insecurities. I guess it is probably true that your level of insecurity is just not that closely related to your accomplishments. Every time I reach a goal that I think will make me happy, I almost immediately begin to doubt myself again and think that there is something else out there that I need to do.

Well… Alison was talking about penis at the beginning monologue part of this episode, then she immediately went to the promo for Go To My PC…. was it just me, or did anyone else think Alison almost was gonna say “go to my penis” …. maybe just me

I wanted to leave a positive iTunes comment but that was the best my brain could come up with at the time. I wish it had a definition though. When I heard Gary read the comment I thought “Squishy? Wait, did I get drunk and leave that comment?” I checked iTunes and I was crazy exited to see that I had left it and Gary read it on the show!
I wish I had MST3K episodes memorized well enough to steal lines from it because that show is freaking funny.
