Alison is joined by Greg Heller, Jeff Fox, Dustin Goot, Daniel Quantz, Jenna Kim Jones and Allan Moss for a re-introduction of the Thursday gang including who everyone is, their favorite colors, middle names, where they were born and how Alison knows them. We also talked about Dustin’s big news, emails, Greece, engagement stories, overrated scones and aggressive door holding. We also did a round of Just Me Or Everyone (click here to see the JMOEs from this episode).

Yours is the first and only podcast I need to listen to on my phone rather than using the cumbersome I-pod and I-tunes. I'm also still rockin' your Amazon link. I know I'm supposed do this,on twitter or I tilunes but come on, you don't ask for much do ya?
So many questions& most of them personal. Nobody else nice to Jenna at FE? Not including the only people we know were there right? I never even knew Jeff was there as Larry Miller always referred to him cryptically. I assume space cadet Chris is Loxamana and I hope his lunar exploration is going well.
I think the official rule is that you are allowed to lift jokes from people you are shagging. What is up with the tension?
I imagine JKJ referred to staffers other than her former co-guests. Otherwise Id be supre crestfallen to know the on air chemistry and camaraderie did not transfer to off air.
Yeah, that can't be.
Congrats to Dustin!!!
I love Greg. Can we have more of him?
So good to hear that Dustin Goot is finally engaged in the conversations! 😉
I think what the gang was trying to tell Greg is that just because someone is rude to you doesn't give you the right to be an a-hole back. Greg is slowly growing on me though.
I love Greg!!
I do think he handled the email exchange poorly, but I totally understand his annoyance.:)
I think some of the tension is just for fun.
I was kind of amazed at what an a-hole Greg is. He retaliates against a minor perceived slight by being as rude as he is capable of.
The irony is that he demands people be exceedingly courteous to him and if they're not, he treats them as badly as possible.
I think you folks don't deal with assistant types a lot. I don't either but I have similar species.
Here is what he is talking about. It is the same thing FE talked about with the people we are paying to make our lives miserable. Whenever they are rude they should be fired. They survive on the disconnect between their boss and the people they are paid to go-between. But the purpose of gatekeepers is to let the right ones through, not harass everyone equally.
That assistant should have been fired immediately. Greg was very nice to them by not dropping a dime on them. That type of person, all type A but double digit IQ almost assuredly didn't get the joke Greg was making on them.
I have to say I agree with you.
The problem with commenting on these personalities we only hear bits of once a week is, we feel we know “who they are”. We really do not. We get to know these people somewhat, but have no clue as to who they are completely.
In regards to Mr Heller; that assistant's emails didn't seem all that out of the norm, and GH seemed to get real snarky real quick. I actually do love snark, when used properly. I don't envy his position, and the people he deals with. I can understand how it would leave you with an edge and a quickly offended trigger.
Anyway…. The waiter story also cast himself in a bad light, although the waiter was slightly out of line. To be honest, it reminded me of Adam Carolla complaining about how everyone doesn't give 110% while he gives 50%, because he's special. Exceptional service is absolutely an American trait, I can assure you after visiting many other nations.
I do like Greg overall, and do not want Alison to make it stop.
He is not afraid to tell off color jokes while the rest of the mostly liberal gang (don't mean it pejoratively!) are afraid to chime in, in today's ultra judgmental online society. (I get it/don't participate.)
I either need to hear more from Jenna and #Al, or need to listen to their podcast.
I appreciate not plugging their podcast all the time, but I've never heard them say more than 2 sentences about it.
I notice that Jenna and Al don't really talk about ARIYNBF on their podcast much either. I imagine hat they think the audiences for the two podcasts are quite different from each other, though I listen to both and enjoy them for different reasons.
