Great episode today with Todd Glass. Also loved your interview with Jo Koy. Great and entertaining talks. To kiss ass even more: liked your interview on CrabFeast. So all is good in Alison Land!

Your proof that racism exists is twitter???? That might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard Alison say.

For like one second when I glanced the photo I was like, “Holy Cow, Alison is interviewing Mel Gibson…there goes her career!”

You've never said anything stupid while having a conversation with a friend? Jeez.

I think what you mostly have is trolls who use any excuse. But this might be what real world racism is to a large degree.

It's not that stupid. The point is anonymous people let their real selves show and there are a lot of nasty comments. But it is also a hypothesis because maybe anonymous people might also use that to play a role rather than their true selves. Maybe they are just sadistic sociopaths and they pick the offensiveness du jour.

Why? Honestly, why is that a dumb statement? I hang out with mostly liberals and don't hear/see overt racism in my everyday life.

I will explain the stupid part. Later. I'm tired right now. But you bring up one of the problems with liberals- they only hang out with liberals and believe everything each other say.

Because Glass says racism is impactful in everyday life and his evidence is that youtube comments prove it is out there. That is called “begging the question” because it could also mean that racism isn't that real if it mostly exists in the virtual, make-believe world. I wouldn't call it really stupid, just kind of stupid combined with that typical liberal self-assured arrogance we all know and love.

I was thinking it shows that racism is alive and well in other geographical areas, not only in other social circles.
