Dear Alison,
I have had (back when that particular fun zone was still in business – it has long since been shuttered and boarded up) all of the procedures you described in this pod…Not to get pregnant (that I unfortunately could get a the drop of a hat or perhaps a condom, consistent with my Irish catholic origins), but to handle other difficult GYN problems I encountered prior to closing down the lady bits. I agree with whoever said you will feel really terrible for a few days after the procedure – both from the work they do inside the uterus and also the general anesthesia… If you know in advance that you don't deal well with the general … you can factor about 50 percent more for the procedure itself. I would do it before you leave for your vacation/honeymoon. You will feel better enough to be glad you have it done and over – I did go back to work the next day (I did a short stay (i.e. overnight), but went to work straight from the hospital. Get it all done and over and then you can work on the baby project asap. As for the vaccinations, I actually had the german measles when I was a toddler and gave them to my newborn brother (a big deal for him), and even though I had the MMR when I was 9 or 10, my brother paid me back for the german measles by giving me the Mumps when I was 14 and he was 13 – to this day, it remains one of the sickest episodes of my life (though my brother actually got the worst of the transaction in the end as he wound up getting a uniquely male consequence of Mumps). I recently followed the recommendation of the CDC for all baby boomers to either just get an MMR booster or have their titers run for measles and I have no immunity to measles. So for me, even though my parents were wildly in favor of vaccines, it turned out for me that the only immunity I have retained are from the diseases I actually had, chicken pox, german measles and mumps. This is why I allowed both of my children to get chicken pox even though they got all other vaccines as recommended. OK waaay too much of an over share
Have fun in Hawaii!

My favorite part of Caelan's corner is his final “helooo”. It makes me think of Archer, and laugh out loud, every time. I was surprised to hear there is another who showers like Matt. I was beginning to think it wasn't “a thing”.

nobody wants to here your medical crap alison. why don't you start a new podcast where you
can talk about your medical procedures, discuss which carbs to start
your thursday show with, and most importantly yawn all you like. you're just filling the show with annoying time wasters that have no entertainment value.

This show may not be for you.
On a further note, I hope you and everyone in your family or care about has reproductive issues, and is never able to breed.

I'm assuming you live in North Korea, and are forced to listen to Alison's podcasts at gun point. You should be grateful for the internet access. It is a luxury most of your countrymen could only imagine. Praised be the Dear Leader for allowing you to like your own post.

that fan phone call segment made me feel bad for the fan you got on the line. calling up fans when they're not expecting it and expecting them to be entertaining on air is a horrible idea. even if they were ready for it, it's just regular people who like your show. they aren't on air talent. of course it's going to be boring.
more importantly, i found it really off-putting hearing gary snickering and making snarky comments in the background. if your goal for this segment is to piss people off and lose fans, congrats cuz it was a big success.
adam being a dick to one of his fans on air is one thing, but isn't the point of this show just a group of “friends” chilling and debating stupid topics and laughing about nothing. it's a good vibes kind of show. i feel like i'm eavesdropping on a group of people being funny hanging out together. the snarkyness towards the fan on the phone was really out of place. also, caelin had a couple of insults hurled at him by chris. you guys are acting more like adam and that's not what this show is supposed to be.
