Alison you were great as usual, but your guest seemed to be the quintessential LA douche bag. I love your podcast, but I couldn't get all the way through this one. Thanks anyway for the effort.

    Madness. Adam Ray is great.

Complaining about the haircut is LA douche behavior, but the guy is in showbusiness, give him a break.

Also, LA Douche would be a good product line, like LA Gear sneakers.

I got that he was sorta douchey acting because he was nervous or because a few of his jokes / lines “bombed” (or didn't get the expected reaction or whatever). I dunno. I think at the core he is a nice dude and sought to enjoy himself as well as entertain but also seemed to keep forgetting it wasn't his show, it was Alison's.

Happy Holidays to all at ARYNBF!!

Yea, don't listen to the first comment. If what Adam said is true, he had a legit gripe. Anyways, this was an awesome episode. Adam may've helplessly tried monopolizing all the air time at times, but Alison did a pro job of seamlessly cutting him off and politely switching gears (eg. when he started doing his Bill Cosby thing). The guy is effing hilarious and had the best stories ever.

Well, the beginning of the interview was fine, with all of the haircut stuff, but it got uncomfortable after that, because it seemed like he cutoff Alison a couple of times, and then she just seemed to let him bomb, dying a slow death.
It was fascinating to listen to, because it got so uncomfortable.awkward.
I would love to hear the real scoop from Alison, but I really feel like she tuned out at some point, and was thinking to herself,”fuck you, douche. I'm not going to help you climb out of this hole you're digging”, and it was really sad at the end when Alison was trying to wrap things up, and Adam Ray wouldn't shut up, because he was obviously desperate to get Alison and the audience back on his side.
I kind of felt bad for the guy, but my impression of him was that he's more attitude/style over substance, and isn't on the same level as Alison, comedy/wit-wise.

I don't know why but this was just a hard episode to listen to. We all realize that not every thing we see or listen to on the net will be “our cup of tea”, but there will be some things that we should probably have just put down and moved on to something else if we want to consider ourselves rational human beings. We don't have the right to choose entertainment for others, but we also should be smart enough to know when to “change the channel” – love you guys…Long live the ARIYNBF nation 🙂
