LeVar Burton stops by this episode of Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend to discuss Reading Rainbow and the Reading Rainbow App, the many projects he’s recognized for, appearing on CNN’s The N Word special and the way he’s treated by cops, racism, Roots, how he got into acting, relationships, Broadway and so much more. We also did a round of Just Me or Everyone (click here to see the JMOEs from this episode).

I love LaVar. He is so down to earth and I am jealous of his ability to be comfortable with ambiguity. Cool guy!

I didn’t realize he was such a blow hard. Alison asks how we can improve race relations and he answers: Share the wealth, cooperate not compete, and help the environment. What do these things have to do with race relations. I was hoping for a real answer.
