The Make It Worse Theater Presents: You Don’t Think, Kristin

Last week Greg regaled us with stories of his fractious former neighbors. What he didn’t say, or maybe he did and I forgot, is that they were so loud he was able to record them from his kitchen. He sent me the audio clip but was hesitant to have us play it on the show because he’s a decent person. So I did the only smart thing someone in my position could do: listened to it 900 times in order to transcribe it so we could reenact on the show. Also in this episode, Jenna is still extremely pregnant and had a contraction, Greg and Daniel have app ideas and I have an idea for a cologne and also a shoe-musement park, Greg cries during movies and which way to lean while hugging. Plus we did a round of Just Me Or Everyone.

I have a trip planned to Paris in January; this will be my 3rd trip in as many years. Last year, we went just a couple of days after the Charlie Hebdo attack. It did feel different than the year before – mostly, because it made us feel closer to the people of Paris. I can't explain that, it just felt good to be there at that time. I will go again this year & I will fall in love with Paris yet again…because there is no other place quite like it.

I suggest you go. You will get to experience all that you want, as far as the sites & the great restaurants. But I think you'll leave there with Paris in your heart, in a way you don't expect.

About the fear of another attack…I live in NY, so it's just life as we know it now. 🙁 Keep forward.

Oh, my freakin' word!! Alison's and Greg's and Jenna's and Al's reenactments was truly the best thing ever!!! I laughed until I cried!!! I'm pretty sure that segment was among the very best of the show's history! I'm like Greg and Alison! I also like to know what people eat for lunch or dinner. I have no idea why this is. Ha! The string of Daniel drops was awesome! Alison's explanation of how she breathes was very funny! I love that Alison said that she kind of loves all Christmas music!! I'm with her on that. I also thought Greg was going to go the other way about the checks mix when he's a guest. I would do it the opposite way. I agree with Jenna's “What is wrong with your snacking” to greg.:) There were so many great comments in this episode! What a great show!

I totally agree with Luisa regarding your trip! I went to visit my sister in NYC in November, 2 months after the 9/11 attacks, and although there were tanks on the streets and military dudes with guns on several corners, I've never felt so one with humanity. It was a feeling I will never forget. It didn't feel sad at all, it felt like everyone was just so happy to be alive and strangers felt like family to me. I've all but forgotten all of the other ten times I've been to NYC, but I'll never forget that trip. I hope you and Daniel go to Paris, and tell us all about it when you get back!

For the record, in a couple days will be the safest time to go to Paris- and not because of all the pointless security theater that they are jerking everyone around with. There are fewer terrorists there now. Sometimes I feel like I have too much of the FE gene to participate in social conversation, but that's the facts.

Is this episode on Stitcher? This hadn't shown up in my Stitcher feed yet …

Absolutely, 100% go to Paris for Christmas for all of the reasons everyone mentioned on the episode.

When Greg was talking about poop on towels I could not stop laughing – “a tiny bit of their doo-doo” OMG

In the Portland area we call the mixed up fountain pop thing a “graveyard”. Weird!

“Twangles, The Christmas Squid” by Jason Morris is my favorite Christmas song from the last 20 years or so.
