Just a general-purpose comment, not on this episode.

Listening to Adam Carolla's episode with Trevor Moore, and Gina the news person is present. So far, she's got nothing…

It was funny when she thought the Suzanne Vega song might have been something that she hadn't heard of yet.:)
I thought it was sweet when she got emotional about her experience auditioning for theChristopher Guest gig.
It's too bad that she was made to feel bad by some Twitter followers. I'm guessing they were either being thoughtless or trolls, because it's only common sense that if you haven't heard of a guest, you google the person, not make them feel bad by acting like they're no names so that they can see it. I'm sure that must have been uncomfortable.

Celebs aren't the smartest people. It reminds me of record producer Mutt Lange cheating on Shania Twain and marrying this broad. If you don't believe Alison had the goods, then why replace her with Gina? Nothing against Gina but she's no Alison Rosen. Alison, since Greg Gutfeld left Red Eye, maybe you could replace him. Andy Levy isn't a good host. Give Greg a call.

I really didn't want to post this, but since I have no friends who also listen to the ACS… I need to vent.
Adam's excuse for firing Alison was basically that she wasn't pulling her weight, and he wanted someone he could personally connect with.
This has been already proven false. Gina Grad is intelligent, fun, and someone I would seriously consider being good friends with. She is not, however, anything like the partner Adam said he was looking to replace Alison with. I would call her a meeker Alison. The first two live shows she attended, she literally said two sentences each, before her news. Adam bringing up her boob size every third episode is a bit creepy. Great for an audio podcast…
I thought a few of the “auditions” were way funnier than Gina, but she seemed to be Adam's only choice, probably even before Alison's firing.
I am truly sorry for even typing all this. I am obviously biased towards Alison, but I really have nothing but love for Ms. Grad. She is just not at all a fit for what Adam said he was looking for. Makes me think having a new, engaged parter was not really the end game he envisioned.
Also; the fact that the old gang is not allowed to participate (on their own time) in her show clearly proves it was personal to him. Have to admit, I am very disheartened that he is not the ultra pragmatic person he claims to be.
Sorry again. I feel like a dirty Internet dung slinger.

First of all, let me say that I believe Alison wasn't contributing nearly as much as she should've or was capable of. I say that because I think Alison is one of the funniest/wittiest/genuine personalities out there, and it pains me that she's no longer on ACS.

It makes it that much more painful that she was replaced by Gina Grad, who (and I don't use this word lightly) horrendous. I get that Teresa and Alison are a rare breed and they are extreeemely difficult to replace w/ anyone. She has not said ONE (ONE!!) witty/insightful/clever/relevent comment yet (and yes, I listen to eeevery episode). She seems like a good person and all, but she is THE furthest thing from a comedian. She is Captain Obvious defined and inserts herself into conversations w/ only THE most obvious/unclever/unwitty/uninsightful comments any 10-year-old could do. She has a nice laugh going for her, and that's it. Period.

It pains me that millions are deprived of Alison's talent everyday for someone who doesn't compare by even an infinitesimal amount.

OMG I love Casey! I got a stab in the gut when she was getting emotional about her mom. I know exactly how she feels. Only, I let me career fall in the toilet from the trauma whereas Casey did not! Yay Casey!

Alison, the is the first time I've ever responded to you podcast and I just want to say I have really been enjoying it. I have come to realize that I can't listen to Adam and Drew anymore because Adam makes me so annoyed! I binged listened to all of their podcasts a while back and have just become increasingly more aware that, among many other annoying things, I feel like he doesn't respect women fully. I've heard countless stories told by him about how he talks to his wife and IDK how she does it. I think about the only woman he gives in to, even just a little bit is his daughter (thankfully.) So, when I finally heard the wrongs he'd done to you, I just couldn't handle it anymore. I pulled my PayPal donations and just stopped. Why am I going to listen to someone who is kinda mentally ill and tells his long time partner to shut up ON AIR all the time? (That always annoyed me!) Although, he did inspire me to get some grit, so that's one good thing. Anyway, I am rooting for you to succeed and continue to listen. Thanks!
