Yep, that’s me, still preferring to stay home and play with dolls and talk to a computer than get out there and date a bunch of goobers and lawyers. Actually, I have absolutely nothing against lawyers, my sister is one and my best friend in CA is one and my ex-boyfriend has jury duty and thinks he’s one (I am kidding! KIDDING I SAY!) however “lawyers” went well with goobers and so I went with it. I also could have said goobers and Shriners or goobers and knickers or goobers and spoons. Seriously, lots of ways one could go with that. But the point is that I have dating fatigue, a condition characterized by not wanting to date and also being tired. Wait, that’s not what it means? Well then I have dating grogginess. Whatever it is, talking to people like one of the guests we’ll be chatting with who has a hilarious story of a funny date that didn’t go well will do nothing to encourage me to get my shapely heiney out there, but it will do a lot to make us all laugh, which is one of my favorite things to do. So we’ll be talking to her and we’ll also be talking to Dustin who just returned from Mexico with a towel featuring the virgin of the village or something. The likeness of her. Not the actual virgin. Still, I hope he hasn’t brought some kind of curse upon himself which is what would be happening if this were a short story and the soul of the towel virgin was angry. I really should not be writing these things late at night.

Also we’ll be phoning a fan or fans and we’ll be listening to more bits of musical genius by Tom Rapp (aka @trappdog) and singing the praises of @kezilla who designed my logo which I love and we’ll be doing all the other stuff that is super duper fun. Remember on the last episode when @Boinkity had the weird dream about me that I read on the air? That was pretty fun. I’d do that again. Also, I now have the theme song available as a ringtone (thanks @chi_mike) but I  haven’t figured out how to make it downloadable, mostly because I haven’t had time to figure that out so get excited! (While I’m giving thanks it occurs to me that there are a million more people I should thank. This is like an Oscars speech! You know who you are, special people who deserve thanks!)

But we won’t be talking to Jim Norton because he’s at a benefit and not in NY. A benefit for what you ask? A benefit for not being on my show. I mean, I don’t think that’s what it is but that’s all I could hear when I received his text.

And a friend I haven’t hung out with since college is in town and he might come over!

And also, I’m really excited to be announcing my first sponsor tomorrow! I’m torn between announcing it here on the blog or waiting until the episode so I’ll just say that she’s someone I knew in California and she owns a small business and I respect her and now that I’m trying to be more small businessmenical myself (yep, must made that word up. feel free to use it) I’m trying to learn from other people who’ve created their own businesses and what I’ve learned from her is that if you want to be successful you should make something everyone wants to eat. I’ve been thinking that for all the people who watch my show, we all spend Wednesday nights feeling like we’re hanging out together (sorry, sappy moment for a sec) and yet we’re all sitting in front of computers in our separate homes and such and I began to feel curious about what everyone’s set up looks like and I want to upload a photo of what I’m looking at when I broadcast and invite you all to upload photos of what your area looks like and I’m wondering what the best site for this is. On the last Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend I tried to make a construction paper four leaf clover which ended up looking like a fat green urn.

Here’s my guest Andrew Hunt, wearing the urn and showing off an orange he’d thoughtfully autographed for me (he’s Canadian and couldn’t take it back to Canada).

My second try was slightly more cloveresque (I’m wearing it in the above photo) and somehow near the end of the show you guys suggested I sign it and auction it on the show. Since I need money for the prop budget and also the construction paper budget and also my weave and my ball gowns and the horseshoes for my Clydesdales, I said ok. Kraytn won the above for fifty clams with the caveat that I throw in a signed photo. He’ll be receiving these lovelies in the mail this week.

Also on the show, we helped Koryn figure out which roommate she should select from the three she mentioned. I’m hoping to get her back on the show this Wednesday to fill us in on the roommate search. And also on the show I got married and divorced like fourteen times because that’s what happens when you’re looking for love and I have a heart too soon made glad which is a very literary and poetic reference which is the only kind I make except for when I don’t.
