I thought you were snorting on the show and I was almost ready to give up on the podcast. Thankfully I took a chance and watched this to clear up the snoring/snorting issue. Oh wait, now you are making annoying sounds. Why must you toy with my emotions?
I liked the part when you said, “I have not been regular… there used to be WHOLE CHUNKS”
Anyway, for about $30 you can get an FM transmitter that plugs into your car's cigarette lighter, so you can listen to podcasts over your radio. It's totally worth it if your car stereo doesn't have a USB port. And don't get the beaded seat… it just gives you more butt dimples.

I know exactly what you mean about commute fatigue, Alison. I went through a time like that at my old job where I worked for a long time. I eventually got so tired of driving down the same roads, getting off the same highway exit, stopping at the same stop lights EVERY DAMN MORNING year after year. For some reason it really started to get to me. I remember I would sit at one particular stop light each morning and think “well here I am AGAIN, waiting at the same stop light on the same road going to the same job at the same company….”
It sounds kind of silly now, but I think that was one of many reasons I eventually decided to leave that job and do something else. Looking back, I don't think it was really about the commute as much as it was about the job itself. If I REALLY loved going to work every morning, the commute wouldn't have mattered.

You can play podcasts in your car. Does your stereo have an auxiliary input? I know my stereo does & it was nothing fancy when I bought it like 5 years ago. Nowadays the aux input is common & even $30 walmart stereos have them. Though if your car is a bit older with a stock stereo, maybe you won't have it. & some stereos have it built into the back I think.
If you see a hole somewhere on the front of your stereo where it looks like a headphone jack would fit in, that would be it. Then you get an auxiliary cable, easy to find, I got one for $3 probably. Simply plug one end into your stereo, the other into your phone/device where the headphone jack is, set source to “aux” mode & you are good to go.
We all want your commute to be as easy as possible! I know something as simple as a $3 cable has paid off 1000 fold for me with all the hours I get to spend listening to anything I want at any time, without messing with cd's or being stuck with the radio. Also I got a simple car lighter USB charger, so that on longer drives I can do all this & not lose any charge on my phone.
Mention this to any of the guys at the warehouse & I'm sure they will get you setup, no problem. Even if you don't have an aux input, there are other ways. Somebody mentioned an FM thingy as well. Just sayin', that considering how many hours you spend in your car each week, I'd say it is well worth it to get setup with something like this.

The commute is worth it. You're great.
Hi Alison, I don't really have anything to comment about, but I wanted to say “hi!”
God you can really babble, but i love your work anyway. And you are getting cuter by the day
