Hey Alison. Thanks for the vlog. I can really relate. I have recently had to deal with spending a lot of time in a health care environment, in the run up to my father passing a couple weeks ago. He lost his multi-year battle with cancer, and it's been a long slow painful process.
I have sib's living out of state as well, and believe I had it much better being close. I was able to spend a lot of time with him those last days he was here.
While I certainly hope your father's condition is no where near as dire, I understand it is nonetheless a stressful thing. But it is also a gift, being able to be there.

You are you and the best part of you is the fact that you are you. Okay, that was confusing but my point is that you should just keep being yourself. Don't worry about the polish, you shine enough without it. However, I'm not a Hollywood agent so I could be wrong. :-/

To suggest that you can't appear unless your performance is as polished as a Buster Keaton routine is ridiculous.
Alas, the Bald Bryan video was sub par. The premise was promising (let's see how we can kill some time in San Diego before the show) but a phone video is less than ideal, Bryan seemed disinclined to participate, and the sound quality made what was said unintelligible. It revealed nothing, went nowhere and had no payoff.
On the plus side, it was mercifully short. <g>

On whether to make more polished content or raw issue, just think of the Adam Carolla quote: “does it make you happy? or does it make you money?”. in my opinion i think more of the raw stuff is good. i think media is heading that direction anyway. keep up the good work…nay great work.

Alison Yeah my dad is a doctor too, and I totally get it about never going to the doctor on a regular basis. We never went. Now ironically I'm a doctor and I never go! AH! Anyway keep up with the video blogging. I appreciate the vulnerability and candor. Sure you are super funny and polished on your Red Eye stuff on youtube. But when I watch your ARIYNBF, or your daily blogs I can identify more with you. You are just a regular person just like us, with daily problems just any mid 30 year old single person. Yeah my dad is a doctor too, and I totally get it about never going to the doctor on a regular basis. We never went. Now ironically I’m a doctor and I never go! AH! Anyway keep up with the video blogging. I appreciate the vulnerability and candor. Sure you are super funny and polished on your Red Eye stuff on youtube. But when I watch your ARIYNBF, or your daily blogs I can identify more with you. You are just a regular person just like us, with daily problems just any mid 30 year old single person. So keep it up yes you are our digital friend, and you know what that is good enough for us!

Alison don’t let them get under your skin, you should keep doing the videos as you do because your fans love it! I very much the bald Bryan video before the house of blues show and am drawn the rawness of your videos if they were edited and “perfected” I think they would loose some of the entertainment value in my opinion. As Adam says does it make you happy? Does it make you money?
