After more big news and the revelation of an amazingly exciting-to-Alison potential podcast booking, we discuss meeting people we’ve been huge fans of since childhood and the way these encounters don’t always go as smoothy as we wish like when Jenna met a Backstreet Boy and Jeff met his favorite member of the Monkees. We also talk about who #AL wants to host his funeral (hint: it’s not Jenna), Al’s new restaurant NOR, the worst gymnastics lesson ever, gardening, Jenna’s Vanderpump/Real Housewives rabbit hole and so much more. We also did a fruity cookie snack chat and doled out some advice to listeners who wrote in with questions about career direction and whether it’s ok to end friendships that no longer feel particularly friendly. And we did a round of Just Me Or Everyone and talked about an adoptable dog with a cleft lip named Jasper.

“Al did you know this about Lisa…” etc. My husband knows exactly how you feel, pretty much about every gd celebrity. Oh well, not gonna stop me from dropping my trivia. And I get dry eyes with my contacts all the f-ing time Al, it drives me nuts and I do carry the drops with me all over the place since the contacts fall out if I don’t keep them moist.
So, so happy for you! I’m a surrogate that had IVF that resulted in triplets, and when I went in to have CVS there were 2, so one of them naturally re-absorbed. I carried to 31 weeks, and they went home 2 weeks later. Twin pregnancy was much harder than singleton, but I’m really short so that didn’t help! Went by so fast and best part was feeling brother and sister moving around in there. Amazing what our bodies are capable of! Congrats again, hope to hear lots of updates!!
Aaaaaaaand now yer fucked.
Alison, we have so much in common. I’ve never posted a comment anywhere and I’m pretty sure I’m not doing it right. I only use Tom’s fennel toothpaste. My family (particularly one of my brothers and I) were obsessed with the state song and would sing it over and over again on family road trips growing up. We would alternate words and states and sing it in crazy harmonies. Even tried alternating letters. This would drive my dad crazy and he even threatened to spank us as teenagers and would pull over until we stopped. Once my oldest brother was so mad at my younger brother and I for singing it that he pulled over, and left us on the side of the road. He took the keys and walked home. Yesterday on a road trip with my family (I have a 12 year old and twin 10 year olds!) the girls started singing the state song! Full circle. I use eye drops in public thinking nothing of it, but now I will. I was once fired from a job for cutting my finger and toe nails while working, again, completely clueless that that might be frowned upon. And I used to be a public flosser until friends and others let me know it was unacceptable. Often while listening to your Thursday show, I find myself responding like a dork, as if I’m hanging out with all y’all. Thanks for making me laugh!
