Alison’s Big Question, Jeff’s Pot Epiphany and Jenna’s Magical Jeans

ARIYNBF Question Pot Jeans

Should you wash and dry your jeans before getting them altered? It’s a complicated issue and the Thursday gang is here to weigh in. Plus we recount some glorious pants past and talk about the fact Jenna has never had a pork chop and has only recently tried fried chicken. Plus Jeff shared his weed adventure and pot epiphany and I recall the same series of thoughts I would find myself having every single time I was high. Also Fifty Nifty and Really Rosie,  a snack chat with mulberries, a round of Just Me Or Everyone and we talked about an adoptable dog named Kong. (UPDATE: Kong has been adopted but check out Alpine! He’s been in for too long.)

One Response to Alison’s Big Question, Jeff’s Pot Epiphany and Jenna’s Magical Jeans

As a listener of the show, I appreciate how the Thursday gang can alternate between casual drug chatter and Mormon talk without any sense of judgment.

However, I personally found the “alcohol brings out your true personality” conversation a little incomplete and distasteful, frankly. As someone who grew up in a house with alcoholics and drug addicts, it felt to me that those substances elicit someone’s impulses (which is different than their personality). If those impulses turn out to be giggling and cuddling, wonderful, but there are more destructive ones as well. If sobriety/common decency is nothing more than a “mask” that we wear around others, then maybe some masks aren’t so bad after all.
