We got to the bottom of what #AL knows on this episode and we also debuted a new segment that Greg can’t remember the name of. Plus we debated precious notebooks, talked about the whereabouts of Jenna and Al’s baby, discussed the butt stuff that does or does not go on in fraternities and did a round of Just Me Or Everyone. Also: oodles of other stuff!

Here’s a fun pre-show video because you guys love video:
Have you considered clicker training for Wendy? More on that later. First, I used to love composition books without lines. Very freeing.
I had an aunt who lived to 101. She said, “I always live in a house with stairs, guaranteed daily exercise.” Her bedroom was upstairs. And she was blind!
Thanks for the video. Fun to debunk the mental myth that forms around radio voices.
Clicker training is the exact opposite of the Dog Whisperer. No coercion, not controlling. Emphasis on voluntary behavior, challenging play, and communication. Not surprisingly, the experts are mostly women (link below).
When I get that squiggly red line on a misspelled word, I right click it and a box pops up with the right way.

Everyone has their own Moleskine truth, and here is mine. First I noticed professors being big on I-Pads. Then they transitioned to Moleskines and finally to the little composition notebooks. I think this gets to the heart of what makes them unpalatable. Once everyone got on the I-Pad bandwagon, those weren’t cool and hipster enough anymore. So, they had to go retro and everyone screamed “ow!” as the fashion leaders turned the corner quickly.
Have you considered tap shoes?
During the what does Al know game you could take turns discussing Al’s background as to why he does or doesn’t know something. And people need to bluff. Just make up stuff. Then write down the answers. “I think he knows because [insert total B.S.]” “I actually wrote down that he doesn’t know! Bwahahaha!”
Further proof of Alison’s comedic genius is when Greg asked Al to weigh in on what side he masticated on and she deadpanned, “Al’s not allowed to masticate.” I couldn’t stop laughing! I also continue to appreciate how she asks Jenna and Al respectful questions about being a Mormon. This time being what Al learned from his mission. She’s a great interviewer even when she’s not in Monday Show Interview Mode. I completely understand feeling so guilty about stepping on Wendy. I’m the same way if I step on my cat or dog. Finally, I like the new Yes, Please or Oh, Please segment idea! It reminds me of a long form of Elizabeth Laime’s Totally or Lame segment on her old Totally Laime podcast. Poor Greg can’t get the name of any segments right, even if he’s involved in naming it!:) It was also funny that Al didn’t know what a moleskine notebook was and didn’t realize that he uses them all the time until the end of the discussion about it. He could’ve been on Daniel’s side the whole time if he’d known earlier.:)
Good call, Totally or Lame was a good segment.
