It’s weird, you can know someone for over a decade and not only did you not know he has this blog about donuts, but you also didn’t even know he loved donuts in this way. Guess you really didn’t know him that well at all.
Come to think of it, the bear claws for hands should have been a tip-off, but I guess I was just in my own world.
Wow your friend really hit some of the best spots.
The Doughnut Pub and Doughnut plant are great, though the Doughnut plant is more of cake with a hole in it plant.
Just tried the Buchon, BooShon, Bukan, oh screw it, the bakery in the time warner building the other day. They were good but after a day they seemed to go sour (the filling not the lemons ontop) so they can come in a distant 3rd.
He/she should move on to cupcakes, theres a good 4 or 5 nice places. Or that little cream puff place, or the rice pudding place, or the mac and cheese place, oh shit i think i’m in a diabetic shock…..all is good, just jam me in the ass with this needle please.
Quote of the donuts:
“I think I’m going to leave the Alison Rosen blog for this other one…..”
—Homer “Not the killer” Simpson

Did you folks know that TOMORROW is National Doughnut Day? It is!
Here’s a description I found:
“National Doughnut Day was established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to raise funds during the Great Depression and to honor the work of World War I Salvation Army volunteers who prepared doughnuts for thousands of soldiers. National Doughnut Day is celebrated annually on the first Friday in June.”
Krispy Kreme is giving customers one free doughnut of their choice tomorrow, and Southwest Airlines will be handing out about 54,000 packages of chocolate doughnuts at Dallas Love Field, and airports in Kansas City, Tulsa, San Antonio and Houston.
So when you meet a friend tomorrow, be sure to wish them a Happy National Doughnut Day!
WHO blogs about donuts!?!?!?!
