MythBusters needs to tackle the dishwasher debate. The common denominator seems to be dudes with their favorite cereal bowl and spoon. First off, have two kids. It is full more than every day. You need a bill of materials for all the parts of one of their sippy cups. Also, have a wife. They will put your plate in the dishwasher before you can turn around from the fridge to put food on them for the first time. Nevermind reusing. Thirdly, gross. You aren't sterilizing it if you are “washing” it anything like the superfluous dishwasher pre-wash (that is really there to keep the dishwasher running smoothly). Conversely, if you are doing the pre-wash anything like handwashing dishes (waiting for water to heat up, touching either your hands or your dishes with the bacterial condo humans call a sponge, etc.), you are doing that wrong.

I do the fridge dishes. It's not a problem. I would ban the sink. That is a petri dish.

Great how you get people you intervju to just completely open upp about the most private stuff in their lives. They must really feel relaxed around you. It makes for an honest exchange that keeps me coming back every Monday. Thanx!

Again, great interview. I enjoyed your interview with him last time. Nice to hear of the changes in our lives that shape us.

I simply put all dishes in the dishwasher without rinsing them first. The key is that I find detergent with phosphates in it and it works perfectly.
