Gary, we have that same scam in my town, they call it the 'grandparent
scam'. They call and pretend to be a grandson/daughter and trick them
to sending money. Its awful, cause it happens a lot! Thankfully our
financial institutions and money marts are aware so they have stopped
some of these grandparents from wiring the money.

Why are people such scammers???!!! 🙁

Hello my sweethearts! Loved having Daniel on board with the rest of the gang this ep. Loved Matt's story about the mop. I realized something this episode – Matt and Chris are both really good at telling stories. They are very different, but both are skilled in this area. It's neat 🙂

Daniel did great! I loved the staring at the dog and pooping story, I cracked up.

What you lovelies are talking about – the seeing yourself in a situation / stepping outside of yourself / whatever you want to call it is part of what is often called “fight or flight” and/or “fight, flight or freeze” and/or “acute stress response”. It's the activation of your sympathetic nervous system (so your body reacts to protect you in case a tiger is coming at you). The thing is, the sympathetic nervous system doesn't know the diff between tigers coming at you, burning mop heads in a closet, your dad having a heart attack, someone jumping out and yelling “BOO!”, etc. It just goes “danger, danger, danger!” so your eyes dilate (the better to see the danger), blood rushes to your muscles (so you can run from or fight off the danger) and so on and so forth. So your body is going through all these changes and chemicals are flying around and it makes your conscious mind feel kinda fuzzy and out of it. Or maybe the anxiety that is tripped in those situation causes a bit of disassociation, now that I think about it. Hmmm.

    The more you know 🙂
