A really nice email I received about ARIYNBF

I have a file on my computer which I’ve labeled “Fan Mail” because sometimes I receive emails from people which are so nice that I want to be able to quickly find them to re-read them when I’m feeling down or I want to put them on my blog which I never do, even though I always intend to do so. I think I’m really going to start though. Here’s one I received yesterday which I read out loud to my parents and which meant a lot to me.

Alison,

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed today’s show. I love your dad. He is always a great addition to the show. I love his sense of humor and the way the two of you interact with one another.

There were a couple touching moments today that really had me thinking how lucky it is that I found your show. It made me realize the great connection you have with your fans.

I don’t think you could do this show if you did not care about people. For the handful of haters today… I don’t know if they know how good we have it,

where we can come and hang out and blow off some steam for a couple of hours each week. I feel sad for them. It’s always a few that try to spoil it for the rest right?

Maybe they don’t have the emotional content to allow themselves to enjoy life’s simple pleasures? So I just want you to know how much joy your show brings to my life each week.

I hope you had a great time with your family and friends on your trip to California.

Have a safe journey back to NY.

I really hate to fly!

Sincerely,

Jason Colacchia

Huntington Beach

Also wanted to say I appreciate the time and energy you put in your show.

Very well said Jason. The first ustream show I watched Alison was getting her hair cut by a guest. I gave her a hard time about it being shorter on one side than the other. I really got to her just some idiot on the Internet. I about barfed up a lung laughing so much but now I know how much she really cares about her fans and I hold back, well most of the time. As you know Alison is someone very special.

I know it’s awesome to receive correspondence from fans that is encouraging, and positive. However, it would be hilarious to see the emails of all those guys that ask you to go out on a date during the week. Where is that Ted from Accounting guy, anyway?!?!

The June 6th show was great, and Dr. Rosen’s fatherly insights and message of hope are a breath of fresh air to anyone looking for that elusive love relationship. The Rosens are nice people.

And Twitter is a bummer without you and Ted, Boink.

ahh man… don’t make me cry Trappy! You know that I tweeted waay too much. In fact, I don’t even blame Alison for un-following me! I bet I embarrassed her a bunch with the dorky stuff I wrote on Twitter. ha

I was devastated by teresa strasser no longer being available for the news. She and Adam seemed to fit well with their barbs, but when I heard you, I had hope. you have not yet developed the Timing with Adam, (Please interrupt him more) but I feel there is a foundation to work with.

I wanted to write you a very heavy comment, and have been pondering for quite some time on how to go about it. Here goes. Without trying to eversell myself, i believe ARIYNBF saved my marriage, and possibly my life. Your advice on relationships and life helped me to realize that my wife does love me, and all the made up scenes in my head where she left me were just that, made up. I now have stopped drinking my problems away, and am now addicted to family, a much cleaner and stronger thing to have in  your life. Thank you for your continuing love, and know that you are making a difference in the world. I love you.
