Oh man, I got the call. It was like winning the Lottery when I heard them say my name!
So, here are a couple of things for this post. Alison asked me when it was that I first discovered her, and it was on RedEye last year sometime. I forgot to mention that it was months before I actually watched her show. She would send out a message describing the show and the one that hooked me was that there was going to be a soap opera in Italian which featured her as a cabbage saleswoman. Looking back, that is cool since I got the fan phone call on the episode where Nevada is back and they brought us the spinoff of the soap opera.
Here is a link to her post, the one that hooked me:
http://alisonrosen.com/2010/04/an-email-i-just-...
It's been a fun time ever since! After that first viewing for me, I promptly bought 2 shoutouts which were a big hit, and more importantly, my life has actually improved since I became a "friend of the show". We’ll talk about that on another post sometime.
In closing, let me give you a tip on getting the call. First, follow Alison's directions here on this page as to how to submit your number. Then, continue to follow her and buy some shoutouts and lock in some sponsorship as well. Don't forget the t-shirts, and get the word out on FB and Twitter. People need to know the new show schedule. Of course, you don't have to buy stuff, but you want to, don't you? Sure you do.
To Alison, I LOVE your writing, your humor, and your show. The fact that you’re irresistible has no bearing on my adoration, or does it? Stay tuned.
Mike Moeller
