Holy crap that was great! If you could loop the audio, I could run forever to that tune! Good job T-Dog!

That's very cool. I gave a lot of thought to what kind of song I wanted it to be. High energy, maybe in some way reminiscent of something the Angoras might have done, but with a poppish melodic hook, that puts you in a good mood, makes you want to get up and move. A 26 second Alison explosion. And then, to borrow something that Anthony had said, to sort of speak on behalf of all us Rosenfans, and relay how we feel about her. If I could do that without making too infectious a melody to the point of irritation, then I'd have it.

So given that my self-worth is pretty much all about my ability to pull off something like that, you can imagine how appreciative I am for all the great reactions! lol

That's fantastic -- it would be a great intro for the show. Alison could even use it when she has to go let a guest in or show them out. There's a way to show a video like during the broadcast and shrink the live shot down into the corner. I was watching another Ustream show the other day and saw them do it.

I like Tony's idea of adding more lyrics. "She's someone you can't ignore, we love her on the 404" Haha!!

Thanks guys! I'm glad it's going over. I figured I'd start with the 30 sec spot, and take it from there. The song itself wasn't so hard. Writing lyrics for a writer... that's intimidating! Keep the ideas coming!

"If I were you I'd copyright it....."

TrappDog, I think the lyrics, the tune, and the arrangement capture the feelings of fun and aura of friendliness that is the "Alison Is Your New Best Friend" show. I somewhat agree with Tony Mu's comment suggesting adding some more words that capture Alison's witty humor too. Good work, Sir.

  • Love it! If I weren't already married I'd totally walk down the aisle to it

  • Nicely done Trapp. It needs something funny like "she'll help you move" "she'll tell you that you're fat" something a best friend would do. Just a thought.

Trappy Dawg rawgs! I really like this as a song for Alison's show.
