I was googling "webcam lighting" and found that the incandescent lighting in your apartment is the root cause of that yellow jaundiced look in your videos. Here is an example. Purchase a Sylvania Daylight Extra CFL bulb and use it in a desktop or floor lamp (or a cheap workman's clamp light). Use indirect lighting, just aim the light towards a wall.
