I like the idea of having an opening as long as it's 10 seconds or less because time is limited, like Boinkity said.

My idea would be to scroll through 5 or 6 still shots and have it say "The Daily Alison staring.... Alison Rosen"

Some of the still shots could be you with the big glasses, one with the duck on your head, one still of a video chat, etc. Just different images that represent the show. And you could change the pictures every so often.

You could also fade to a 5 second still frame at the end of each show that has your contact information (name, web site address, email, whatever).

Yeah, I'm not a very big fan of the opening sequence in this type of format. Because you have such a limited amount of time, I think you should do your vlogs as you normally do. However, the first minute or so you can have an opening of written words that either flash up while you are introducing yourself, or perhaps scrolling across the screen.

For example, let us look at your latest vlog, when you interviewed Joel Stein. You open up by saying, "Hey you guys! How goes it? Welcome to the Daily Alison!" What I would do is at the same time you are doing your verbal intro, there would be accompanying text scrolling at the bottom saying, "Welcome to the Daily Alison!!" Then as you continue your vlog, you say, "I'm noticing my lip gloss needs some smearing around!" At this time, I would then flash up either the date, or even better, the "episode" number. Yes, I think you should actually number your Daily Alison vlogs for historical accountability. Then throughout the vlog, if you wish, you could flash up comments that you think may be funny, or perhaps informative, or perhaps a comment that might counterpoint something you may have regretted while you made the video portion of your vlog. At the final moments of your vlog, I think you should have text saying something to the effect, "Thank you visiting the Daily Alison!" and some contact information so that television execs can easily contact you.

Just my opinion. If you don't roll with it, I'll just call myself the "Alison Rosen fan with good ideas, but nobody listens to me anyway."
