The Daily Alison (Where I'm back in NY)

I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to pull off an episode today but look, I did! Just barely!

Also, there are some photos of me on a boat with a bike which are on a friend’s phone and I’m waiting for him to send them to me because the fact that I did that is beginning to get surreal and urban legendesque.

Also, on the plane I watched Locked Up Abroad: Barbados. Have you seen this? It was so engrossing I could barely change the channel to watch Michael and Michael Have Issues!

Idiots Locked up Abroad is an awesome show. Every single one of the D-bags that get sent to some third world prison hell all say that when it came to smuggling 10Kg of blow into Trashkanistan, “what else was I supposed to do” and “what could go wrong?” It is truly engrossing, but do not neglect its considerable schadenfreude appeal.

Welcome back, Ali Ro! Glad you had a safe flight even if it was delayed. Aren't ALL flights delayed these days? It seems like it.

Whenever I travel coast to coast, I usually have some jet lag going west but never going east. Yes, it's one of the strange things about me. I'm just an enigma wrapped in a riddle and eaten by a puzzle.

And remember – no matter how much you push the envelope, it's still stationery.

The best Locked Up Abroad was the one where the shy guy was seduced by the girl with Loan Shark debts. After a short time “Dating” she asks him to go to Peru with her for a holiday. The trip of course was setup by the Load Shark so she could be his mule to pay off her debts. The shy guy is only along to make her seem like a legit traveler. She gets pinched at the airport with 19 kilos of coke. He spends 8 months in various shit holes before the charges were dropped but is still stuck there while the prosecutor appeals the ruling. He basically lives in a closet and is in legal limbo waiting for the case to close so he can get his passport back.

I bet he didn't even get laid. Poor bastard.

When I first read this I thought there were photos of you with a bike on top of a boat that's on top of a phone and you were waiting for a friend to send you the bike, boat, and phone. I wonder if this is why I never pass those job personality profile tests.
