Photos from last night's Red Eye

tvheads436015

Here I am smiling.

tvheads436022

And here I am making some kind of point.

tvheads436023

And here I am making that same point even more emphatically.

tvheads436025
And here I am looking stunned. tvheads436026

And here I am being all smug and cocky.

tvheads436024

And here I am pretending I’m a turtle.

tvheads436021

And here I am blowing out candles on a birthday cake.

tvheads436020

And here I am holding a mouthful of water and a live goldfish in my mouth.

tvheads436019

Here I am being bashful.

tvheads436018

Here I am at the Cape. It was beautiful that day but I’d eaten some rotten slaw. I tried my best not to burden anyone but they had to drive me to town to get my stomach pumped.

tvheads436017

Sadly they didn’t get to me fast enough and I died. This is me minutes after I died.

tvheads436016

And then here I am on my wedding day. I was so nervous!

tvheads436015

This is me in outer space.

The red sweater looks good on you. I haven't seen last nights show, so I'll just assume you were the best thing about it and say “Well done Alison. Red Eye would fail if it wasn't for your semi-weekly appearances.”

OF COURSE Alison was the best thing on Thursday night's show! It certainly wasn't Bill (I say that even though I love Bill to death).

Those captions are so funny, Alison. Thanks for the laughs this morning!

I was hoping Andy would ask you about the Dr. Pepper Easy Underpants Cooperation Dance, but maybe that would have been inappropriate after you had your stomach pumped. Nobody can dance on an empty stomach.

Cocky eh? I'll tell you what's cocky!

There is an old Chinese proverb that says:

[imagine being said with Chinese accent] “Man with hands in pants feel cocky all day.”

    Also

“Man who stand on toilet is high on pot”

CHING CHOW BOW WOW COW SOW MAO
[the MAO is pronounced MOW but like COW – its a Mao Tse Tung reference]

    weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezerrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, events in Iran have preempted tonight's rerun of RE, so I'm out of luck once again. But I do have a couple of things on my mind. First, I have my doubts whether these are genuine chinese proverbs.

Second, what's with that phrase, loving someone “to death”. Whose death? One's own? Or the person you claim to love? Anyway, that all seems a bit extreme. I'd be perfectly satisfied to be loved within an inch of my life.
