are you cereal has been around for decades! The first place i heard it was in an episode of MASH, so sometime in the 70's.. i wonder who coined it though thats a nice claim to fame.

I used it untiil Borat...


Then I made it "Chaps my anoose."

I've heard it.

Yes. The sad yet funny thing is I still say it.

All I can say is WOW!! Yes, again I lied. There was no way I wasn't going to read this first. My going to the Dollar Store can wait. Anyway,there seems to be a common theme today. *Reading things I have no idea what they are about.* I'm not being critical of the article, but I wish I had the last 5 minutes of my life back. I'm not even gonna bother looking up the word, hmmm, what was it? it started with an S. But the bigger question is this, I have no clue about what job you chose to leave. I know you said you left one of your jobs, but I just don't understand which one. This is like the Area 51 mystery, or maybe even worse.


Of course Joe, I love Seinfeld. I actually answered a trivia question at Hooters© one time about what the apartment number Kramer lived in. Of course memory fails me now as to what it was. 5C or 5B, something like that. I thought that if I had answered it there would have been a "happy ending." And of course there was. They gave me extra Ranch Dressing© to go with my wings at no charge. Life is good.

I've heard "chaps my ass" before but Emily said, "chaps my anus" which I've never heard! Same meaning but much more...shall we say, "descriptive."


I've also never heard of Emily Mortimer...so I'm 0 for 2 in this post.

Wow.. I've heard "chaps my ass" maybe once or twice, but I don't remember where. It certainly isn't a common phrase where I am. I've never heard "chaps my hide".


Michael, I liked your reference in the previous post to Toby, who lost her pinky toe. That was a good Seinfeld episode. Some time we'll have to compare notes and each list our 5 or 10 favorite episodes.

I'm just gonna make a brief comment, and read the article a little later when I can enjoy it better. I'm running late. but anyway, Yes, I have heard the phrase, "That really chaps my ass." Truth be known, It was me that coined that phrase. I also coined the phrase, "Are you cereal?" Okay, none of that is true, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night. Okay, that's not true either. What is true is that, that phrase is over-used down here in the south. It's common amongst the older crowd. When you hear it, you better run. Things done got hairy.
